The were a vaudeville act around the turn of the last century. They were so awful a review of their act described them in part as:

“three creatures surpassing the witches in Macbeth in general hideousness" and continued, "the mouths of their rancid features opened like caverns and sounds like the wailings of damned souls issued therefrom."

They sued for defamation. At trial, they performed their act for the jury. They lost the defamation case, and the judgment was affirmed on appeal.
