37. I recently started the latest Bridget Jones book

and gave up after two chapters. A fifty-one year old woman with two small children and a toy boy lover whose entire sense of self revolves around whether or not said toy boy responds immediately to her text messages is beyond tiresome. Plus, in the first chapter or so she has an email exchange with some mothers of the primary school her kids attend, and it reads more like what a 13 year old would write.

It was awful that Bridget had not matured one iota over the years.
