Louie is a 20 pound black cat who fancies himself a PI

He and his human live in Vegas. She is a PR person who handles publicity for a casino/hotel- and she is a strong independent woman

Other characters include: a defrocked priest, a magician, a ditsy landlady, a formidable police officer who sings in a night club in her off hours, assorted other animals and some bad guys

These books are a fun read. The author lives here in Ft Worth and is a solid Democrat
