ICE agents will patrol gates of Oahu's Marine Corps Base in pilot program [View all]

WINDWARD OAHU, Hawaii (Island News) -- In a new pilot program with the Marine Corps and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), ICE agents will be at the gates of Marine Corps Base Hawaii to prevent unauthorized entry from foreign nationals.

ICE agents will guard entry points with Marine gate personnel but they will not be actively patrolling the inside of the base, according to Military.com. In this pilot program, military and law enforcement roles will continue to follow federal guidelines and remain "clearly delineated."
