4. I worked in the accounting department of a major furniture manufacturer and retailer

Until a couple of years ago when I early retired from my job to take care of my MiL after an accident. She's just gone into memory care with frontotemporal dementia.
But my point is that when you have to use a calculator all day (as I did, for years!) you get used to catching yourself using it for stupid crap like...adding 2+5, or subtracting 10 from 30.
Then you laugh at yourself. It's about all you can do!
