North Shore is more like it. I had to go through Skokie for some reason the week of the march, I was driving a semi, and listening to the radio and locals, it was a place to quickly find in my rear-view mirrors, even if it was just up rte14 a few miles.

I recall that, sort of like other eastern cities, lots of ethnic neighborhoods, people from everywhere with some notable concentrations.
