I was standing at the window of my parents' kitchen, several miles away from the crash site, when I saw the huge flash of light as the plane hit the ground and exploded. There is now a townhouse community built on the site, and a commemorative marker honoring the victims of the crash is located at the main intersection of the community. It is chilling to pass by and think of the horror that took place there all those years ago.
