Potato planting day... [View all]

Maybe not a real holiday but we celebrated here. Had to screen the compost that’s been marinating all fall and winter. Planting three kinds this year Russet, Yukon Gold, Red.
Planting in grow bags this year, trying to save wear and tear on the old knees. Using 20 gallon bags we had on hand, preferably I would’ve gone slightly bigger… should be ok. Nice thing is we kept them in the greenhouse for now til the weather is more settled giving us about a three week head start.

Screening out the compost…yes that is naturally occurring perlite in the mixture…😂🤣
