Old house, had no second-floor bathroom at all, which was a big PITA, so I had a small bedroom divided into a full bath and a walk-in closet. Of course they had to run all new plumbing to the second floor; and, since the room was an odd shape with sloping dormer ceilings, they had to hand-tile the tub surround because a stock fiberglass one wouldn't fit. But with the demolition of the old walls, framing, new plumbing, wiring, insulation, plumbing fixtures, floor and wall tile, etc., it was expensive - it ran to about $30K. But I love it.
