7. Ack! Tell me about it

The people who owned my house had 3 cats, 3 dogs, a couple of birds, and they fostered both cats and dogs. The carpet was minging, and what was under it wasn't a hell of a lot better, all the pets having multiple accidents on a daily basis.

I steamed the floors, had them sanded and sealed, and wove a lot of throw rugs to cover the biggest sins.

The carpet wasn't 70s shag, it was 80s pile and probably not bad when it was installed in the 80s.
