and not particularly pleasant ones. My mother hated to cook and was not a good cook - I think the two are related: she used to serve Chef Boyardee canned ravioli, which I remember as vile. I didn't realize ravioli could actually be tasty until I had some fresh, non-canned ones in my 30s.
