2. I had a close family member with GBS.

I think usually the tingling is bilateral and is an ascending paresis/paralysis. I would certainly go back to the doctor.

On edit:I don't want to unduly alarm you but, if the symptoms persist and the doctor is not available, I'd go to the ER.
