13. Apparently, shot in Chicago. I learned that there is a place named Harlan, KY.

So I think the Primeval premise is a Detroit mob but Google says it's filmed in Chicago.

For the first seasons of the original, I learned that there is an actual town of Harlan and it has a pizza parlor by the same name as used in the series: The Portal Pizza.

And, it looks like it's in a former bank building, maybe.
