Musk benefits from hampering Chinese EV sales, and tariffs on cars and car parts from Canada and Mexico will raise prices on other American car brands, making Teslas seem like a better deal. Tariffs on oil and gas will mean US will seek other sources, including straw man purchases indirectly from Russia, bypassing the sanctions enforced by the democratic countries of the world.

These tariffs are so precisely targeted it gives the whole game away. Not that that matters to either of our current presidents, because whadya gonna do about it ?
