US Tariffs Help Russian Economy - Econ Lessons

Washington has not clearly articulated a mandate for Russia to go home. Instead, I see division created between our friends, such a Canada, Mexico and the EU. Further, evidence suggest oil price increases or volatility can help Russia's economy. If tariffs are imposed on Canadian oil and the US seeks other sources such as Venezuela a Russian ally to help fill the gap, I would say this is a net win for Russia. I can not predict oil prices, they might go down, but I can say economics that is free, including free trade is better for humanity. We want to make the world a better place.
