The tastiest and best part of my birthday [View all]
My birthday was yesterday. We decided to splurge a little and get a cake that Paul and I would use as our 25th anniversary cake as well as my birthday cake. We have a local vegan bakery called Compassionate Cake (http://www.compassionatecake.com) and I ordered a Raspberry Lemonade cake.
The owner, Jessica, asked me what kind of decorations I wanted. I'm not really good at things like that, despite working in a restaurant, so I gave her Carte Blanche and told her to surprise us. These pictures show the cake she came up with.
The flowers and butterflies are blue and yellow, Paul's and my favorite colors, the paw prints are to honor our dogs and kitties, and the silver center on the flowers is dedicated to our 25th anniversary.
I don't know about you, but I think she rocked it pretty darn good.
