3. I think Biden did just that.

Biden has always wanted, even back when he was a Senator, to do more with the rail system. He rode the trains from Washington to Wilmington practically every day and he saw how much this country could benefit if the rail system were expanded.

I think he put Pete in charge of his pet project to see what he could do. Guess we're all about to find out. Buttigieg has some hurdles to jump, though. There are people who don't want us to have an efficient train system for fear that Americans won't buy as many cars. They and some others aren't going to be happy that more money isn't being spent on highways. Then there are some who don't want Pete to succeed because he's a political threat. I wish Buttigieg all the luck in the world!
