I also spent many years in the Oil Patch,
and also drilled in the Permian Basin.
The Fracking we did for years was very local,
and limited to Oil Sand Pay Zones.

The "fracking" they are doing today are up to 100 times more expansive,
including shallow horizontal wells,
and shale zones which we used to consider impermeable.
