I don't know the status of battery storage in relation to it. They say that peak demand is a bit after peak production. Where I live, a hot, but not broiling day will drop to 84 degrees outdoor temp around sunset, and I can tolerate up to 84 degrees. So that's the crossover point for active versus "open window" cooling. Around 8 PM just past solstice.

Of course, with regulatory capture, I doubt we'll see any rate help from PG&E.
