3. Assuming those shipments are foreign goods ordered thru US companies, it will affect those US companies.

Many companies, not just Amazon, are in fact mainly resellers who while fronting for products, don't make them here or warehouse them here and get them shipped direct to the consumer from wherever they are made and warehoused. For many, that is overseas and subject to these tariff related extra costs and hassles.
