Why didn't the author know?...not enough research, or poor sources to the ones he had studied. You have hit the jackpot of failures with that one. I had never heard about that, and had read a couple of articles about poor architecture in the world.. Thank You for adding another..and it would have replaced the Standard Oil Building in Chicago if the author had known.

Killing hundreds of people is grounds for a number 2 in stupidity. Number 1 has already been taken by Mr. Trump.!!

Oh...and Thank You, Thank You and Thank You..for teaching me a bit of LA history and an example of extreme stupidity that I did not know about.
