2. Another good place to research apps

is the Google Play Store (play.google.com).
This is where you will find all the common apps that are not part of the operating system.

From /settings/apps/app info/
if you tap on "app details", it will take you directly to the Play Store listing for that app.

The apps and services that are part of the Android OS cannot be uninstalled.
Most apps that are factory installed cannot be uninstalled but can be disabled.
