1. Something I noticed while researching what happened in the Wisconsin recall--

No Gubernatorial recall has ever resulted in a Progressive victory. In both instances previous to Wisconsin (Gray Davis in CA & Lynn Frazier in ND), the recalls were used by big-money, corporate interests to remove populist politicians from office when they became troublesome to Big Business. In the Wisconsin case, the only one in which progressive forces initiated the recall, the progressives failed to carry the day against Big Money.

Just some food for thought when people start talking about all this referendum & recall business.
