Some kangaroos are pretty aggressive. I always thought the big red ones were the ones to avoid, but there's been a few cases of kangaroos attacking people and dogs....

Sorry about the tabloidy approach of the first link, but it was the only one I could find to an attack that happened a few years ago in a suburb not a stone's throw from where I live...
