15. In West Virginia, Democrats also see it as "profit" . . .

. . . especially those who live in cities and towns where they don't need to contend with the adverse effects of irresponsible mining practices (surface and underground) experienced by rural residents . . . and, sorry to say, most of them care more about that pittance of a coal severance tax that's added to their own city and town coffers than they care about what happens out in the boonies. Out of sight, out of mind.
