It was really strange as I read through old school year books from the era in which the ABM site was being built. One particular quote was about new friends and new beginnings. The community was really preparing for this new facility.

Soon after going live, the ABM site closed down because of the USSR=US treaty. When I was up there 30 years ago, the houses on the base were already deteriorating.

Probably should take a trip up there again. My wife doesn't have any people that live in the town anymore though.
