3. And, my husband and I will probably be joining the homeless by this time next year

Let's hope my failing health will offer a better solution to being homeless, disabled, and not worth a plugged nickel to anyone.

(Some sites place Minnesota in the top ten of expensive places to live. Some put it more in the middle of the list. I wish there was a way to measure the greed factor in a given geographic area. That list would go a lot further in helping people decide where they want to live as opposed to 'economic factors' that only really pertain to a small percentage of the population.)
