He is the only thing standing between us and Rauner turning this state into the equivalent of a third world country.

That is one of the troubles with our party: When we have strong, organized and disciplined leaders, people find something wrong with them. We lose elections because of it.

Rauner will be a one-term governor. But it will take years to clean up his mess.
