'No Kings' protests planned for Saturday in Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City [View all]
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB/AP) - Several communities in North Central Florida are expected to host protests in opposition to President Donald Trump’s administration on Saturday morning.
According to organizers, ‘No Kings’ protests are scheduled to be held in Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City, Starke, Dunnellon, and Live Oak, among many other locations nationwide. Find out more information here.
TV20 reached out to several law enforcement agencies in North Central Florida ahead of the protests. Police in Gainesville and Lake City say violence is not expected. They are not planning for additional law enforcement measures at this time.
