I always thought he was a seriously underrated guitarist. I joined the KISS Army in '75. $5 got you the shoulder patch and the wall-sized poster of Gene Simmons spitting fire. Every boy in my neighborhood was obsessed with KISS. I still crank their best stuff all the time.
