She got quite a haul for the cash! It's great that you connected, you have a great wealth of knowledge to share with these people at school, it's good of you to help. Having that resource in some artistic media kids can relate to is massive. Art and music classes were the only thing that kept me going to school as long as I did go. When the arts got cut, I had no interest, or parents to help me get through it.
I just got a bunch of gear from a place that might be of interest to you if you haven't heard of them yet. Sweetwater was recommended to me by professional musicians who also record, three of them in my county told me about this place individually. They are always having sales and they have everything, including a used gear marketplace. I think they have deals for schools, worth looking at just in case, if you haven't already.
