if you don't mind me saying. I love to write lyrics and noticed the line "I might as well have committed a crime" sounds a bit squeeze in there. May I suggest something like: "Might as well live a life of crime" or something close to it? It has one less syllable and doesn't sound rushed.
Other than that, I think you have something there.
