17. I think what time of day and what mindset you have matters

People visit cemeteries during the day because psychologically we have hundreds of thousands of years of evolution programing us to be fearful of the dark. That's why if you visit a cemetery at night your senses are at a higher state of alert. Add to that our consumption of horror movies and books now you have darkness, graves where dead people are, and our imagination combining to scare the hell out of ourselves.
