I am very aware that most people don't have a broken bone every other year or so. I know I'm a bit odd. At least I'm used to it, so all I go is "darn!" when it happens once more.

Another interesting thing is that I've always considered that I have a very low pain threshold, mainly because of painful and incompetent dental work in my youth. However, I've had nurses totally amazed that I could walk standing perfectly upright mere hours after a C-section. Apparently that's not very common.

But I do want to emphasize that my bone breaks have never been serious.
