to help expedite your claim.

Email your US Senator with the details of your claim.

I would copy and paste a large portion of your Go Fund Me appeal in this email. Include as many details as you can, and stress your financial hardship issues. Explain exactly the implications of your illnesses and financial hardships.

Your Senator's office will ask you to fill out a privacy release form in order to gain access to your records and therefore, attempt to expedite your claim.

Follow up with your senator's office religiously to see if they had any success with his/her congressional inquiry.

If your lawyer is cavalierly blowing you off by saying that "nothing can be done to expedite the process", it might be worth it to ask your lawyer if the following is feasable in your situation: Quick Disability Determinations (QDD) and Compassionate Allowances (CAL). The answer may still be unfavorable, but it does not hurt to inquire.

Also, please call 211 to obtain ANY available advice on temporary assistance that may be available to you.

Best wishes and good luck John.
