You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

In a perverted way, I think Trump should be happy. If Republicans had done well, I think their big dark money would have financed a strong effort to find and run a serious challenger to Joe Biden next year. Now, I think they might be more inclined to hold back, let the Republicans run an incompetent nut case, watch him/her go down, say, “I told you so,” and then back a viable candidate in 2028.
