at the alumni page of the school we both attended in first grade (1948), but his name (Sonny Humphrey) wasn't there. I don't know where in the States his family was from, or even if Sonny was his given name, or a nickname. The names of any other kids I remembered weren't there either. We all were the first American military kids to attend school at Yoyogi.

Sonny would be about 80 now, so I'm hesistant to really delve into it in case he's gone now.
