American put us on the same flight for the next day. It boarded late, finally commencing boarding at 3:35 PM while announcing a departure at 3:45. Finally having figured out how to use twitter again, I let American know that were better off just telling their passengers what was really going on. If the flight is really delayed an hour then say so! At the gate, they told us our original plane had mechanical problems, and so they were reloading everything onto another plane, including the catering. Indeed, the catering was still being loaded on while we were boarding. On Twitter, American told me it was due to bad weather.

I don‘t think American is capable of giving a straight answer if you ask one of their agents their name, their gender, or the number of thumbs on their left hand.
