They (and their dear leader DJT) think the US should only care about what's happening to our country. Their motto is "screw everybody else, what happens to other countries is not our concern." They're too stupid to grasp how foolish and shortsighted (not to mention completely unsustainable) that stance is.
Never mind the fact that if Pootie were to (God forbid) succeed in his aims for Ukraine, he's not about to stop there. They're dumb enough to think that if we just got out of NATO, we could ignore the whole mess and let the chops fall where they may.
Of course, they're also grateful to Pootie for helping the Orange Hellbeast get elected, but even without that, they wouldn't care what he did as long as he stays on "his" side of the ocean. That's how people with no understanding of history, political science, or international relations think.
