For those unaware of the term, a tankie is someone who (1) believes that imperialism is evil and the root of the worlds problems, and (B) only america is imperialistic.

It's a political outlook that has been prevelant since the ussr sent tanks into budapest. They blamed the US for forcing russia to do it while failing to fault the sovierts for any of the barbarism they inflicted; they have much the same argument today about ukraine.
