I'm not entirely sure this is a flip, nor that it undermines their 'case', such as it is (which is bullshit of course).

This could actually give them an air of officiality.

May look bad for Trump and the Secret Service, but not necessarily for themselves.

Just thinking out loud, not entirely sure what to make of it
