But it is also a very real possibility, which is why I asked about it.

Some red state legislatures have already passed laws allowing them to override the people's choices and more stares are working on similar laws. AFAIK, those laws now apply to presidential elections and choosing slates of electors. But would they, or could they apply those laws to elections of House or Senate candidates?

The SC is scheduled to hear a case about these laws. I don't know the date for them to hear it. What if the SC ruled in favor of the state laws? It's a very real possibility that they will.

So then what?
