I was a big fan of Letterman's show, was actually in the studio audience in 2008, though the guests weren't nearly so memorable (Dr. Phil). I also worked with CBS, wrote up the TV listings for the newspapers, so I used to speak with their publicists after Letterman moved to CBS.
