It's a question of whether or not they have the power to dictate the results even if they're telling the truth.

Moderates absolutely have that power because of the narrow margins... but the math doesn't work the same way for the progressives. Their leverage faded rapidly once Pelosi announced that there would be a floor vote - because they can't control how many Republicans will vote for the bill.

The only way this works out to avoid the "try us" is if a Senate reconciliation bill is settled on by Monday.
