Wow.

I don't know if you remember Scott Peck. He was a psychiatrist in vogue in the 80s and early 90s.

He wrote a book on evil, which he defined as thoughtlessness. For example, in his book, People of the Lie, he tells a story of a kid whose parents bought him a gun for his birthday. The kid gets depressed and kills himself, and the parents turn around and give the SAME GUN as a gift to the younger brother of the kid who killed himself. The thoughtlessness, or lack of empathy, in this action, said Peck, is true evil.

I mean, Earl, that's what THIS IS. These people are just thoughtlessly evil. Absolutely no empathy. Just sociopaths.

People like this are monsters.
