Cannot Survive on Slogans. Cannot Survive on Soundbites. Cannot Survive on Emotional Appeal. Cannot survive on Dramatics and Mass Rallies. Cannot Survive on Following Charismatic Leaders, Cannot Survive on Followship.

Democracy is a form of government that requires reason, logic, thinking, and that old favorite eternal vigilance.

Rah Rah Rah is fine but it can never be enough. It just leaves us open to the conman, always waiting in the wings eager to step out on the stage and work his show, just as this Trump character was waiting in the wings getting his lines read to him in Russian.

Obama is a fine person, a great person; Trump is the opposite.

From 1789 we had an element of luck to see us through. In 2016 our luck ran out. I don't want to depend on luck anymore.
