The "math" was an illustration, not a science experiment. I'm saying pro guns voters will vote that single issue, pro regulation folks may answer a poll in support of more gun laws, but when they show up to vote it is a minor factor in their vote. I apologize for daring to bring reality into an emotional discussion, but if we ever want tighter regulation on guns we must address the fact that the people on the pro guns side actually care enough about the issue to turn out, and the people in favor of regulation do not. Politicians love money, but they love power more. Do you really think they would have halted the AWB if it would gain them votes?
