Jasmine Crockett eyeing revenge with potential Senate bid

1. Talarico for Cornyn's seat, Crockett for Cruz's in 2029

I think Jasmine Crockett would be an incredibly effective campaigner to help other candidates win in 2026.

I hope she does not go for Cornyn's seat. I am all in on Talarico on that one. Allred is great, Crockett is better, but Talarico is exceptional and has the potential to seriously shake up the Democratic Party in a way that could be transformational. That young man has been on my radar since I first came across his sermon on Christian Nationalism in 2023. I am delighted that he is going for Cornyn's seat. It is a national tragedy that they gerrymandered Crockett out of her seat. She has been a treasure in the House.

But who knows? While people supposedly "in the know" dismiss the notion of the Texas state legislature flipping in 2026, we could see a blue tidal wave in 2026 unlike anything we've ever seen. Even just 9 months into the 47 regime, Democratic Party identification has gone up an amount that is quite shocking to the consultant class. And Republican U.S. Senate races those same people don't imagine would ever be competitive are looking increasingly vulnerable.

How knows? We may get a Democratic Texas state legislature that implements an INDEPENDENT commission to redistrict TX in a way that reflects the ACTUAL will of Texans -- and that is Lean Democratic. (Just review Crockett's speeches on the fact that Texas is actually blue.)

One way or another, I see a future where Crockett is either back in the House, or is sworn in as the Junior U.S. Senator from Texas in 2030.
