My wife's grandfather fought in the Pacific in WW2 and now her father votes for these fascists and Nazis.

Her father used to be a kind person and now he's perpetually angry. He goes to church, he sings in the choir, and is a deacon - and he's got the meanest views on immigrants, liberals, and even women.

I realize some people go down this hole because they aren't well-educated and are easily led. He's a smart guy and did well for himself. He needed an outlet for his anger and the christian right gave him a home.
