It’s likely that Russian computer viruses have been sitting dormant in many of our critical systems.
If a command was sent from the Kremlin they could be activated and disable or destroy the systems that contain them.

The US probably has similar capabilities within Russia so if one country enables this attack the other could respond in kind so it wouldn’t be used casually.

Would Putin be crazy enough to use this?
It’s beginning to sound like he might.
In fact the timing of the Ukraine invasion may be due to enough of these viruses installed to allow an effective retaliation to any defense of Ukraine.

Physical bombs would be much less effective unless they were nuclear.
